summertime bliss...
strawberry sundaes, fried green tomatoes, an abundance of peppers, the first tomatoes turn red, the perennial flowers refuse to be shown up by the annuals, and let the preserving begin...

I did not know you were growing okra. We have had some really good okra this summer. Made some veggie soup to take to Grandmother with some okra in it - it was so good! It had just about every vegetable I could find in the refrigerator. We cooked it in the crock pot.
